Well we are back. It has been a hell of a journey. The landscape, culture, history and people were enough to get us to come back but the bouldering ended up being better then we could have ever expected. All in all we established hundreds of new problems with many being classics.

The last weeks of the trip were split between a final session in Huayllay then back to Lima for the loading of the truck and some down time. Huayllay was as sick as ever. We just love it there and hope to come back to Peru strictly for a trip back to a true bouldering paradise. We found some new problems, finished some projects and said our goodbyes.

Returning to Lima was a bit of a downer. We had to scrub the bottom of the truck with a tooth brush to get ALL the dirt off in case US customs decided to take a look. That sucked. We got all the paper work done and loaded it back in a box and put her on the boat. We then chilled in Lima and Climbed at the local gym in Miraflores...Eboulder is a cool spot, with great people and a cool vibe. I’m glad it was there otherwise we may have lost it just sitting in Lima. Getting home was not a big deal except for the 24hour layover in Panama. We decided to get a hostle for a night, but got it in old town which was a bit dingy not to mention the heat and humidity.

We are back in the Bay area now looking for a house in Berkeley. Steve is starting grad school and Teri is looking for work. Being home is a blessing and a curse all at the same time. It is great to have the comforts but life in South America is hard to beat when you are driving around bouldering!

We will be updating the site with maps of every area we found. We took GPS points for almost all the boulders we discovered. Unfortunately the cable was stolen early in the trip so I’m waiting for a new one before we can download. We are also going to share the info with some South America websites. There is truly a crazy amount of climbing potential and the information should be shared......  this trip may be over but we will be back...
