Bouldering: Tuzgle

    Tugzle is located in the in the altiplano of northern of Argentina at about 4000m. The rock is a volcanic tuff with 30-40m cliffs sloughing boulders in to the canyon. Ranging between highly featured and blank the boulders formed from the cliffs can be massive in size. The rock quality can be less than stellar but with that said there are many classic problems and high ball potential abound if you are willing to search and clean.

    The climate is extreme and temperature varies widely from hour to hour and week to week. The sun can be baking and the wind can be biting mid day, while the evenings are cold but pleasant as long as the wind stays down. Expect water left out to freeze and believe it or not it can rain and snow...but not much.

The altitude is difficult on the body and lungs so it is advised to acclimate slowly.
